Churches & Village Halls

Village and church halls tend to be large buildings which can accommodate roof mounted solar panels to generate renewable energy during the daytime. For rural parishes, the majority are off gas and rely on either electric or fossil fuel for heating.

This means that both roof mounted Solar PV and Air Source Heat Pumps have exciting potential for generating electricity and then using that renewable electricity to heat the space beneath.

Churches and halls also tend to be used on certain occasion during the evening and weekends and therefore there is potential to create cash savings by developing solar panel arrays with battery storage capacity which can be sold at peak times to the national grid.
