Key Accountabilities:

  • Customer service (answering phone, managing inboxes, responding to queries)
  • Screening and directing phone calls
  • Business and customer administration
  • Report running and record keeping
  • Assisting with arranging of installations across all technologies

 

Key Requirements:

Friendly and Polite

You will be first point of contact for our customers. You will need to represent the business with a positive attitude and professional appearance and excellent vocal and written communication skills.

Organisation

Ability to multitask and complete tasks efficiently and effectively. Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines. Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Administration

Management of inboxes and reports for Operations department and any other departments that require assistance.

Customer Service

Answering questions about products or services offered and handling any queries that customers may have. Providing customer support to other departments when required.

Teamwork

Working with all teams across the business to offer the highest levels of efficiency and customer service.

Compliance

Coordinating office activities and operations to secure efficient and compliance to company policies. Discretion is necessary.

We are experiencing major growth in the industry and are looking for a Finance Assistant – Purchase Ledger to join our team in Herefordshire on a full-time basis.

Outline

The Finance Assistant with key responsibility for purchase ledger. Must be pro-active, organised, accurate and efficient to successfully support the business.

To process Purchase Ledger function monthly, within set deadlines, ensuring all information and records are up to date and to support the Finance Manager with all aspects of accounting compliance and Preparation of Management Accounts as required.

As with any employee there may be times, when they will be requested to take on additional tasks by members of the senior management team.

Excellent organisation, time management and planning skills.

  • AAT level 2 or other accounting qualification desirable
  • Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) for Sub contractors
  • Highly motivated.
  • Ability to adapt positively to change.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills both face to face and telephone.
  • Good listening and questioning skills when given instructions.
  • Ability to always remain calm and professional.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Computer literate (Xero Accounting, Microsoft office).

Key duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:

PURCHASE LEDGER

Duties will include

  • Processing invoices/credits on Xero
  • Resolution of day-to-day queries from suppliers
  • Supplier statement reconciliations and resolution of differences
  • Collating weekly and monthly payment runs for approval by Finance Manager
  • Dealing with sub-contractors and CIS requirements.
  • Work closely with other elements of the finance department to ensure that daily, month end and year end deadlines are met

OTHER

  • Daily and Monthly Bank Reconciliation
  • Credit Control

Key Accountabilities

  • Installation of Solar Photovoltaic systems (both roof and ground mounted), inverters and energy storage systems on both domestic and commercial projects across the UK.
  • Ensuring customers are happy with the installation on completion.
  • Electrical and / or roof works.
  • Completion of required paperwork for the system in line with MCS requirements.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety requirements at all times.

Key Requirements

  • Professional attitude and good customer facing skills.
  • Good initiative and ability to overcome problems throughout an installation to ensure completion of projects to a high level on time.
  • Experience of installation or testing in Solar PV would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Full clean UK Drivers License.
  • Confidence to work at height.
  • Must live within easy driving distance of our Herefordshire offices.
